HPCAI advocates on a federal level in partnership with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO). NHPCO is the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States. The organization is committed to improving end-of-life care and expanding access to hospice care with the goal of profoundly enhancing quality of life for people dying in America and their loved ones.
The Hospice Action Network is the Advocacy Arm of NHPCO- NHPCO’s Public Policy Committee sets the agenda, which the Hospice Action Network is tasked with carrying out. Hospice is health care that cares more and costs less. The Hospice Action Network (NHPCO HAN) is dedicated to preserving and expanding access to Hospice care in America. HAN connects advocates with one another and provide them with the tools they need to fight for the hospice cause at home, in Washington and online.
HPCAI may reach out to members to advocate on behald of hospice and palliative care through the NHPCO Legislative Action Center, where there are many different ways to connect with members of Congress on hospice issues and learn more about hospice public policy and advocacy.
